GT Asia Macau: 3rd place for Dilango Gallardo in finale
The GT Asia series finale was held on the challenging circuit in Macau: the narrow street circuit leaves no room for errors and demands precise and fast driving. In the GT Asia series classification, the Reiter Engineering customer Dilantha Malagamuwa took an excellent third place on the podium in the Lamborghini Gallardo FL2 GT3 fielded by Dilango Racing from Sri Lanka.

The press release from KTM and Reiter Engineering published at the beginning of the week has obviously aroused interest and raised several questions. Many media representatives and customers have approached our partner and us with these questions. We would like to use this opportunity to answer the most frequently asked questions:
Will it be a GT3, GT4 or even a GTE racecar?
I can’t give you any concrete data today, but I’m happy to give comparable information.
The fundamental difference was clearly visible in the press release: the car has a closed cockpit and the outer skin of a super sportscar. The car will be similar in form to a Lamborghini Countach, which means a very flat and wide car. The design is, however, typical KTM: angular, chiselled, aggressive, and simply cool.

Reiter Engineering GmbH & Co KG and KTM Sportcar GmbH are working together on a racing car that will be available to customers in Europe, the USA and Asia. The construction of the vehicle and all of the logistics, including sales and supply of spare parts will be in the hands of Reiter Engineering.
The joint motor racing project represents a continuation of the successful partnership between Reiter Engineering and KTM Sportcar that dates back to 2008 when the cooperation resulted in overall victory in the “GT4 Sports Light European Championship”. At that time German driver Christopher Haase won the European GT4 Championship title driving a KTM X-BOW GT4, fighting against tough international competition.

PODIUM IN HIGHLANDS 101 ENDURANCE FOR GALLARDO

Successful endurance debut for Camaro, podium for Gallardo - GT3 racecars manufactured by Reiter Engineering again proved their power and durability
Another good performance – this time – at the Highlands 101 endurance race conclude a quite successful racing weekend in New Zealand. 101 laps on the 4.1 km long race track meant a track time of nearly 3 hours, only interrupted by two compulsory pit stops. The M-Motorsport driver duo Justin McMillan and Steve Richards managed to finish their season with a position on the podium. They crossed the finish line in their Interlloy branded Lamborghini Gallardo FL2 GT3 third. With their 7th place, Ross Lilley and Paul Kelly at the wheel of the Koala Furniture Gallardo FL2 GT3 clinched the second top 10 position for the Gallardo racing teams.

Season finale in New Zealand for the Gallardo teams from Down Under
Justin McMillan and Steven Richards finished the season of the Australian GT Series with a 6th place in the second race. After their third position in the qualifying the Interlloy Duo aimed for a podium finish in the races. Unfortunately, they missed the time slot for the mandatory pit stop and driver change. They had to come into the pit once again and were classified on position 23 in the end.
The catch up race was off in the second and final run of the continental championship. By racing fast lap times with their Lamborghini Gallardo made by Reiter Engineering, McMillan/Richards raced into the top 10 and were only interrupted by the safety car phase at the end of the race. In the overall classement of the Australian GT 2014 Justin McMillan is ranked 4th, whereas Steven Richards is listed 7th as he could not compete in every race. International GT Open Barcelona: Kox Racing knapp an der Pole Position vorbei
Ein Zeitenfeuerwerk brannte Peter Kox im zweiten Qualifying der International GT Open Serie ab. Mit seinem Kox Racing Gallardo FL2 GT3 holte er mehrere Sektorbestzeiten und schrammte nur denkbar knapp an der GTS Pole Position vorbei. Gerade einmal 0,004 (!) Sekunden trennten ihn am Ende von Startplatz 1.
In den beiden Sprintrennen teilte sich Kox das Cockpit des Gallardo mit Nachwuchspilot Maximilian Völker, der mit dem Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona ein weiteres Mal in diesem Jahr eine neue Rennstrecke betrat.
Doch das Profi – Youngster Gespann schlug sich erfolgreich und holte mit den Rängen 7 und 8 zweimal einen Platz in den Top 10.

Thailand Super Series Buriram: Podium für Vattana Motorsport
Für die Läufe 5 und 6 zur Thailand Super Series reiste der GT Tross zum brandneuen Buriram Circuit. Erfolgreichster Reiter Engineering Kundenpilot des Wochenendes sollte Chonsawat Asavahame werden. Im weißen Gallardo FL2 GT3 entwickelt von Reiter Engineering fuhr er in beiden Sprintrennen mit Rang 2 jeweils auf das Siegerpodest. Damit übernimmt Chonsawat Asavahame auch die Tabellenführung in der Thailand Super Series. Die Spitzenposition abgeben musste Tomas Enge. Konnte er im SaReni Camaro GT3 im Qualifying die zweitschnellste Zeit fahren und Rang 3 im ersten Lauf holen, musste er das zweite Rennen frühzeitigbeenden, nachdem er die Schikane zu aggressiv genommen, die Streckenbegrenzung getroffen und dadurch die Lenkung in Mitleidenschaft gezogen wurde.Read more...

The two Reiter Engineering developed GT3 racers Lamborghini Gallardo and SaReNi Camaro set new lap record at Monza
Reiter Engineering beat the competition in qualifying for the final round of the Italian GT Series at Monza with two completely different car concepts. Just before the end of qualifying, Tomas Enge topped the timesheets after setting a new lap record in the SaReNi Camaro GT3 entered by Solaris Motorsport. However, the Reiter developed Lamborghini Gallardo FL2 GT3 fielded by Imperiale Racing managed to beat the time by a mere 6 hundredths.
As a result, the front row for the second race on Sunday is completely in the hands of the two Reiter Engineering developed racecars, which could hardly be more different: the Lamborghini Gallardo is equipped with a lightweight mid-engine, the downforce generated is comparable to that of a formula car; characteristic for the Camaro is its brutal engine power, its incredible braking power and the large dimension tyres. ...Read more...
