FFSA Championship 2009

This weekend the final race of French championship takes place in Lédenon.

The GT3 field in the French GT3 Championship fought a thrilling battle for the lead last race at Paul Ricard. Bruno Dubreuil, who qualified the #58 First Racing Lamborghini Gallardo in sixth position, made an excellent start and duly moved up to third place on the first lap. Armaud Peyroles and David Tuchbant followed in fifth and sixth positions respectively.

A total of 28 laps including mandatory pit stop were on the agenda for the drivers in which the all the Gallardo teams were able to improve by one position. Dubreuil / Amado presented First Racing with second place and yet another podium position. Peyroles / Thevenin brought their Ruffier Gallardo home in fourth position, Tuchbant / Leclerc were fifth. Cabanne / Helary (Ruffier Racing / P7) and Tardif / Briche (JSB Competition / P8) also scored points.

The weekend?s second race started in the sun and temperatures of almost 30 degrees Celsius. The Lamborghini Gallardo proved its class once again. This time it was Gaillard / Parisy (Ruffier Racing) who established themselves in the leading group. Only after the driver change at half-distance did they lose third place to brand team mates Briche / Tardiff and dropped back to sixth place. Two further Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 with Leclerc / Tuchbant and Amado / Dubreuil at the wheel finished in between. Thevenin / Peyroles completed the successful weekend in eighth position.

Lamborghini Gallardo drivers have recorded six wins, 23 podium places and six pole positions in the twelve races of the French GT3 Championship to date.
