Second Victory for Reiter Engineering

Start-Finish Victory in Paul Ricard with Albert von Thurn und Taxis and Nikolaus Mayr-Melnhof.

Albert von Thurn und Taxis had a perfect start into the seventh race of the FIA GT3 European Championship in Paul Ricard. The Lamborghini driver won the fight for the lead before the first corner and expand the lead. With a gap of more than 10 seconds von Thurn und Taxis stopped at the pits after half of the race and gave the Gallardo to Nikolaus Mayr-Melnhof.

Also in the second part of the race, the Reiter Lamborghini Gallardo LP600+ stayed in front of the field. Nikolaus Mayr-Melnhof defends his position even that the tires lost performance due to the hot track conditions. Two seconds ahead of the second placed Ferrari Mayr Melnhof finished the race with the second victory of the season.

„Albert gave me a perfect car and a big gap. So I could try to avoid any risks to secure a save finish for us”, said Nikolaus Mayr-Melnhof.

„The start was very tight because I missed the braking point for the first corner. But after that I had nobody in front of me and could increase the gap. Hopefully we can fight for a good result tomorrow too”, said Albert von Thurn und Taxis.
