Marc A. Hayek on the podium, Philipp Geipel pushed out of the race at the start
Again success and misfortune came together for Reiter Engineering in the ADAC GT Masters.
With best chances for the victory Philipp Geipel and Albert von Thurn und Taxis got into the race at the second event of the ADAC GT Masters on the Sachsenring. Starting from position 4 Geipel innocently was part of an accident already in the first corner. The Reiter Engineering Lamborghini LP600+ was strongly damaged that the race was over for Geipel/von Thurn und Taxis after a few seconds.
Successful on the other hand were Marc A. Hayek and Peter Kox. From the middle of the field they fought their way through to position 10. For Marc A. Hayek this ment the second place in the hardly fought amateur class of the ADAC GT Masters and for the second time in 3 races a spot on the podium of the amateur class. In the amateur championship standings Hayek is on position 4 now.
The second race of the weekend will be starting on Sunday at 12.00am and will be broadcasted live on Kabel 1 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The over all fourth race of the season 2011 Reiter Engineering will be taking from pole position with Frank Kechele.
