Successful Test on the Nordschleife for Reiter Engineering
First reaction of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP600+ GT3 on the legendary Nuerburgring Nordschleife.
On the last weekend Reiter Engineering took the first race with the Lamborghini Gallardo LP600+ on the Norschleife. The second round of the VLN endurance championship on the Nürburgring served as a preparation for the 24h classic race in the Eifel in June.
Therefore Reiter Engineering counts on a prominent family. Motorsports legend Hans-Joachim Stuck raced the first rehearsal together with his sons Johannes and Ferdinand, who already won a race of the ADAC GT Masters on the Eastermonday with Reiter Engineering. Supported was the familyteam by Reiter Engineering driver Frank Kechele.
The goal for the first race was to gain a little experience and data, to prepare perfectly for the 24h race. Futhermore Ferdinand Stuck and Frank Kechele had to drive their first rounds on the Nordschleife. So the focus was not on some fast laptimes or fights for positions, but on making as many laps as possible.
The Reiter Engineering Crew was able to completely fulfill its goals. All four pilots made the race over 4 hours without any technical problems. Even though the team tried a lot during the race, it was possible to save position 14 in the SP9 class for GT3 cars. "We could get many important insights from the race", said team manager Frank Kechele. "Until the next VLN event in the end of May we will measure all parts of the car to see what this very special track does to the car.
