REITER Lamborghini dominating at the Eurospeedway Lausitz!
Albert von Thurn und Taxis and Peter Kox win both races in ADAC GT Masters.
More successful you cant finish a race weekend. For the runs 9 and 10 Reiter engineering traveled to the Eurospeedway Lausitz to defeat the lead of the championship of the ADAC GT masters with the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560 GT3.
Already in the first practice it appeared that both Reiter Engineering drivers, Albert von Thurn und Taxis and Peter Kox, could handle the course fairly well. Although the old tires from the previous race had to be used the team could maintain the top of the field.
The Qualifying on friday evening should also be the Lamborghini drivers' catch. Albert von Thurn und Taxis succeeded in the first session with 0.15 seconds ahead of the competition and got his second pole position in this series. On top of that he set the fastest time of the day with 1,21.628 min. The qualifying success was completed by Peter Kox and his win of the second free practice. The Dutchman brought more then 0.3 seconds between the Reiter Lamborghini and the rest of the field.
On Saturday afternoon the first race over 60 minutes took place under extremely hard conditions . Heavy rainfalls since the morning hours and returning drizzle during the start turned the 3.4 kilometer long course in the former brown coal district into a wet slide. But Lamborghini start driver Albert von Thurn und Taxis had the situation clearly under control and won the start. Already in the first 3 laps von Thurn und Taxis was ahead by 10 seconds and controlled the race sovereign. Peter Kox took over the Gallardo LP560 GT3 at the obligated pitstop and still extended the lead. Although Kox slowed down in the last rounds in the end the lead was by 8.8 seconds.
On Sunday the team found totally different conditions. A dry course, sunshine and nice temperatures made everyone expect a fast and hard race. This time Peter Kox completed the start and took over the lead of the GT3 field. As on the day before the 46 year old controlled the speed and handed over the Gallardo to von Thurn und Taxis in leading position. He defeated the first place against the strong competition of Porsche, Corvette and Audi and saved Lamborghini the fourth victory in this year in the ADAC GT Masters.
" We weren't the fastest car in the races seen from the speed", team manager Hans Reiter summarized. " But thanks to the very good balanced driver pairing we could drive constantly over the distance. We also did very well at the starts. In the second race on Sunday we were lucky that we were able to warn Peter of a cooling water line on the track. Thereby we could prevent a turn or a crash."

In the teamstandings Reiter Engineering leads too now with after all 65 points. The next event of the ADAC GT Masters is in already two weeks within the race of the FIA GT1 worldchampionship at the Nurburgring.
