Battle of the Bulls – 4 Reiter Gallardo FL2 GT3 to contest the penultimate round of the Blancpain Sprint Series at Zolder
On the grid of 25 GT3 racecars, four Reiter Gallardo FL2 GT3 racecars from the Reiter Engineering stable aim to fight for top positions. Three race teams bring their ‘bulls’ to Belgium and the penultimate port of call for the Blancpain Sprint Series:
Grasser Racing fights with its two ‘race bulls’ for important points in both the Pro class and Pro-Am category in the championship. The driver pairings of Hari Proczyk/Jeroen Bleekemolen and Stefan Landmann/Sascha Halek both currently hold 3rd position in their categories and within easy reach of the leaders. Halek is injured and will be replaced this weekend by the Czech driver Tomas Pivoda.

GT Asia Shanghai: double podium for Aoki / Urata and Dilango Racing
The former Grand Prix motorcycle racer Takuma Aoki and Ken Urata grabbed the headlines once again in the GTM class of the GT Asia series. In a Reiter Gallardo LP560 GT3 fielded by Dilango Racing, they were at the sharp end of the field in both GT Asia races at Shanghai, China. Even Aoki’s paraplegia and the subsequent time lost during the driver change hardly slowed them down. In the first race, they mounted the podium as third placed finishers, in the second race they climbed another step higher. With 11th place on Sunday, Aoki / Urata only narrowly missed a top 10 position overall among the professional drivers in the GT3 class.

GT Asia Sepang: two podium finishes for Takuma Aoki / Ken Urata
Ex-motorbike world championship star Takuma Aoki finished rounds 9 and 10 of the GT Asia series in Sepang, Malaysia successfully. Driver duo Takuma Aoki and Ken Urata clinched second place in the hard fought GTM class in both sprint races at the wheel of their Dilango Racing Gallardo LP560 GT3. Dilango Racing Team Boss Dilantha Malagamuwa rounded off the squad’s success with co-driver Akash Nandy with tenth place overall in race one ahead of Mitchell Gilbert/Michael Choi in the FUN88 Gallardo FL2 GT3. They repeated their eleventh place in the second race and were the best placed Gallardo team as a result.

Reiter ends Pirelli World Challenge with brace of podium positions and draws a positive conclusion to the first race season in North America
Gentleman driver Marcelo Hahn brings the season to a successful conclusion for the Reiter Engineering race team with a pair of second places in both GT-A class races at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele/Utah. After a successful start to the first race, Hahn was able to pull away from two of his class rivals in his Reiter Gallardo FL2 GT3 and in the course of the race secure second place. In the second race, Hahn was able to repeat his result from the previous day and finish second once again.
Team mate and ‘comrade-in-arms’ in the GT-A class Albert von Thurn und Taxis sat out the season finale. On Saturday, he chauffeured his oldest sister Maria von Thurn und Taxis to her wedding in the church.

Lap record and podium: Interlloy M Motorsport had a successful weekend at Sandown Park in the Australian GT Series
In free practice, Justin McMillan and David Russell in the Gallardo FL2 GT3 immediately got to grips with the mere 3.1 kilometre track close to Melbourne. In qualifying the perfect lap would be the story of the day. McMillan not only outclassed the competition with his time of 1m 08.814s, but also set a new lap record for GT cars.
At the start of the first race, the car initially lost two positions, but was within reach of second place. After the mandatory pit stops, McMillan set about overtaking the second placed car. However, unfortunately this didn’t prove possible as the race was cut short due to a competitor’s accident. Nevertheless, 3rd place on the winners’ podium was a great result for McMillan / Russell.Read more...

Full timetable keeps GT racing fans busy this weekend!
The Australian GT Series is held in Sandown near Melbourne. 3 Reiter Gallardo GT3 race cars are entered for the 3 races taking place on Saturday and Sunday.
2 Reiter Gallardo race cars will be participating in the season finale of the North-American race series in Tooele/Utah.
Another 4 Reiter Gallardo GT3 race cars will be competing in the GT Asia Series in Sepang.
Moreover, Imperiale Racing aims to continue its strike of success in the Italian GT from Paul Ricard in Vallelunga this weekend.

On its first appearance in the Blancpain GT Series in Portimão, the Gallardo FL2 GT3 with Roman Rusinov/Tomas Enge finished twice well in the top 10 and in the points
For the fifth event of the Blancpain Sprint Series, G-Drive Racing joined forces with Reiter Engineering and brought a brand new Gallardo FL2 GT3 to the grid. The bright orange bull was driven by Roman Rusinov and Tomas Enge. As a result, an old partnership between Rusinov and Reiter Engineering was rekindled. The partnership celebrated success together in the Le Mans Series in the days of the GT1 Murciélago R-GT.
The newly formed team made a brilliant start on the Algarve. In free practice, Enge / Rusinov initially set the best time of the day with a 1m 43.924s. Qualifying on early Saturday morning, to decide the grid order for the qualifying race, went the way of G-Drive Reiter Engineering as the team scooped pole position. With a fastest lap time of 1m 42.589s, Enge / Rusinov beat their best time from the previous day.Read more...

Blancpain GT Series Portimão: Grasser Racing still in championship battle with Reiter Gallardo after victory and podium
Reiter Engineering customer Grasser Racing maintained contact to the championship leaders after the weekend in Portuguese Portimão on the Algarve. After setting top times in free practice, Jeroen Bleekemolen and Hari Proczyk put their Gallardo FL2 GT3 firmly on the front row in second place after qualifying. Bleekemolen then took the lead after winning the drag race against the G-Drive Reiter Engineering driver Tomas Enge. Grasser Racing stayed at the front while posting consistent lap times on the limit and also held the lead after the driver change. Hari Proczyk fended off the persistent competition and took the third victory for Grasser Racing in a qualifying race in the Blancpain Sprint Series.
Proczyk initially held the lead in Sunday’s main race, but was overtaken by a rival after a safety car phase. At half-distance, he finally handed over the car to Jeroen Bleekemolen.Read more...
