Successful endurance debut for Camaro, podium for Gallardo - GT3 racecars manufactured by Reiter Engineering again proved their power and durability
Another good performance – this time – at the Highlands 101 endurance race conclude a quite successful racing weekend in New Zealand. 101 laps on the 4.1 km long race track meant a track time of nearly 3 hours, only interrupted by two compulsory pit stops. The M-Motorsport driver duo Justin McMillan and Steve Richards managed to finish their season with a position on the podium. They crossed the finish line in their Interlloy branded Lamborghini Gallardo FL2 GT3 third. With their 7th place, Ross Lilley and Paul Kelly at the wheel of the Koala Furniture Gallardo FL2 GT3 clinched the second top 10 position for the Gallardo racing teams.

Season finale in New Zealand for the Gallardo teams from Down Under
Justin McMillan and Steven Richards finished the season of the Australian GT Series with a 6th place in the second race. After their third position in the qualifying the Interlloy Duo aimed for a podium finish in the races. Unfortunately, they missed the time slot for the mandatory pit stop and driver change. They had to come into the pit once again and were classified on position 23 in the end.
The catch up race was off in the second and final run of the continental championship. By racing fast lap times with their Lamborghini Gallardo made by Reiter Engineering, McMillan/Richards raced into the top 10 and were only interrupted by the safety car phase at the end of the race. In the overall classement of the Australian GT 2014 Justin McMillan is ranked 4th, whereas Steven Richards is listed 7th as he could not compete in every race. Ross Lilley driving the Koala Furniture Gallardo achieved...Read more...

Read more...
REITER RACECARS IN THE FIRST ROW ON THE GRID

The two Reiter Engineering developed GT3 racers Lamborghini Gallardo and SaReNi Camaro set new lap record at Monza
Reiter Engineering beat the competition in qualifying for the final round of the Italian GT Series at Monza with two completely different car concepts. Just before the end of qualifying, Tomas Enge topped the timesheets after setting a new lap record in the SaReNi Camaro GT3 entered by Solaris Motorsport. However, the Reiter developed Lamborghini Gallardo FL2 GT3 fielded by Imperiale Racing managed to beat the time by a mere 6 hundredths.
As a result, the front row for the second race on Sunday is completely in the hands of the two Reiter Engineering developed racecars, which could hardly be more different: the Lamborghini Gallardo is equipped with a lightweight mid-engine, the downforce generated is comparable to that of a formula car; characteristic for the Camaro is its brutal engine power, its incredible braking power and the large dimension tyres. ...Read more...

Another good result for Barri / Bortolotti in the Italian GT Championship - Strong Camaro debut with Solaris Motorsport in Italy
Giacomo Barri started the penultimate Italian GT Championship race from fourth positon in the Imperiale Racing Gallardo FL2 GT3.
Before the early pit stop on lap 11, Barri held this position with a cushion to the chasing cars behind. Bortolotti took over the Gallardo cockpit at the stop. However, several positions were lost, so that the Italian duo had to fight to the front again. They moved up as far as 7th place, before the chequered flag fell after almost one hour of racing.
Barri / Bortolotti start tomorrow’s race (start at 11:50 / Live

Reiter Engineering customer team finishes on the Blancpain Sprint Series podium once again
The Reiter Engineering customer teams ran strongly in the first half of the Blancpain Sprint Series race at Zolder, Belgium. Peter Kox (NSC Motorsports) and Hari Proczyk (Grasser Racing) made perfect starts in their Gallardo FL2 GT3 and took first and second positions at the first corner. Due to the extremely chaotic start the safety car was initially deployed, which meant that Kox and Proczyk could only speed up the tempo from lap 4 onwards.
However, the Gallardo pair was unable to build up a comfortable margin as the field was slowed once again when the safety was deployed again on lap 8 due to an accident. Soon after the race went green, the pit stop window opened. At this point in time the Gallardo FL2 GT3 were firmly in the lead. The Grasser Racing Gallardo pulled into the pits first to change tyres and driver. Proczyk climbed out before Jeroen Bleekemolen returned to the track in...Read more...

NSC Motorsports and Grasser Racing on the podium for qualifying race – title chances improved
The teams contesting the 2014 Blancpain Endurance Series converged on Zolder, Belgium for the final event on European soil. Three squads – Grasser Racing, G-Drive Racing and NSC Motorsport – appeared with four Reiter Gallardo FL2 GT3.
All three teams laid the foundations for a successful qualifying session with fast laps in free practice. This is divided into three segments, although it is only in the third of these that the best grid positions are determined. Three of the four Gallardo FL2 GT3 made it into this final session. Jeroen Bleekemolen / Hari Proczyk would lead this Gallardo faction. Bleekemolen planted the Grasser Racing Gallardo on the front row with the day’s second fastest lap. Peter Kox and Nick Catsburg demonstrated their ambitions on the premiere of NSC Motorsports in this series by setting fourth fastest qualifying time. Tomas Enge and Roman Rusinov took seventh on the grid. As a result, three Gallardo were in the top 10 of this extremely competitive field, where 16 cars were covered by just 0.7 second in qualifying!
The qualifying at Zolder on Saturday afternoon started in summery conditions.Read more...
