ADAC GT Masters
Nürburgring (DEU)
13 – 15 July 2012

The fourth round of the ADAC GT Masters took place in typical Eifel weather conditions. With the weather changing between downpour and sunny spells it felt like April at the Nürburgring.

Shortly before the weekend, the participation of amateur pilot Marc A. Hayek (CEO and president of Blancpain, CHE) was cancelled. Due to a very bad cold the Swiss did not get the doctor’s permission to race. His partner, Peter Kox (NLD), had previously arrived at the circuit and took part in the free practice sessions. As usual, Albert von Thurn und Taxis (DEU) and Stefan Rosina (SLK) shared the Lamborghini Gallardo LP600+ (#3).

Third Round of the GT Open in Spa (BEL)
Sunday, 24 June 2012 21:18

International GT Open
Spa (BEL)
22 – 24 June 2012

The third round of the GT Open in Spa last weekend was pretty disappointing for the two Dutch drivers Nico Pronk and Peter Kox. Pronk‘s and Kox’ car, a Reiter Engineering Lamborghini Gallardo LP600+ was again affected by the BoP (Balance of Performance). With the engine basically having no air intake due to the smaller restrictors it had less power compared to the last race. Both drivers noticed this early on in the free practice sessions. As a result of the red phases they could not really find a rhythm and had little time to drive on the track.
