Started from pole position Marcelo Hahn / Allam Khodair Team Alfa Blau-Lamborghini Gallardo LP 600+  won the Saturday race of the Brazilian GT Championship at Campo Grande.

Following on from yesterday’s sensational performance in Pre-Qualifying, Fred Makowiecki (FRA) in the No.7 Hexis Racing McLaren MP14-12C again took the top spot with a searingly rapid time of 1.36.827 in the third part of this morning’s Qualifying session.

Blancpain – Reiter made hay while the sun was shining in Navarra as Peter Kox (NLD) took the No.24 Lamborghini Gallardo round the Circuito de Navarra quickest in Free Practice, setting a time of 1.38.542.

The No.6 WRT Audi R8 came in second with a time of 1:38.654, with Frank Stippler (PRT) at the wheel. Third was the PRO-AM No.9 Gulf Racing McLaren of Michael Wainwright and Robert Bell, posting a 1:38.711.

Almost two and half seconds faster than last year’s pole-setting car, Peter Kox (NLD) and Nico Pronk grabbed the pole position in the qualifying race of the British GT Championship yesterday.

The Reiter Engineering team and the two drivers Peter Kox (NLD) and Stefan Rosina (SVK) pulled out all the stops at the final event of the 2012 season at the British Donnington Park circuit, winning a fantastic second place on the podium in the championship race on Sunday. The team did a phenomenal job at the pit stop, gaining a place. The white Lamborghini Gallardo LP600+ came into the pits in P3 and rejoined the race in P2.

Reiter Engineering Team Compete in Two Racing Series and Set the Pole

The Reiter Engineering team competes in two Lamborghinis Gallardo in the final event of the GT season, the GT1 World Championship and the British GT Championship.

Peter Kox (NLD) is at the wheel of both cars this weekend and set the pole in the British GT Championship with Nico Pronk (NLD).

The Dutchman also shares the white Gallardo #25 with Stefan Rosina (SVK) in the FIA GT1 World Championship. They secured start position P3 in the second row, with their fastest lap only a little over two tenth of a second behind the fastest car in the grid. They took P4 in today’s qualifying race.

The GT1 championship race will take place on Sunday, from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. The two-hour race of the British GT Championship will start on Sunday at 2:40 p.m. (local time).

The Lamborghinis Gallardo competed in races of three different series last weekend.

The Reiter Engineering team entered two LP600+ for the FIA GT1 World Championship, with Peter Kox (NLD)/Stefan Rosina (SVK) and Mike Parisy (FRA)/Jeroen Bleekemolen (NLD) at the wheel. Kox/Rosina secured P5 in the qualifying sessions and Parisy/Bleekemolen P6. The latter two were extremely fast in the Gallardo during the weekend but were forced to retire early from both the qualifying race on Saturday and the championship race on Sunday.
