The fourth round of the FIA GT1 World Championship will take place from June 8th to 10th, 2012. Since Dutch driver Peter Kox is going to compete in the ADAC GT Masters at the Sachsenring, Germany that very same weekend, Stefan Rosina (SVK) is going to take his place for the GT1 races. Andrew Taplin in the Lamborghini Gallardo LP520 won the Trophy category of the Australian GT Championship in the first one-hour race of the weekend. Now in second place in the overall standings and with 57 points, he is only 4 points behind the leading duo Koutsoumidis/McInnes who are also competing in a Gallardo in this championship.

The third round of the FIA GT1 World Championship took place in Navarra in the north of Spain last weekend. On Friday evening the weather was quite bad with pouring rain and thunderstorms, partly flooding the paddock. However, on Saturday and Sunday all participants were treated to splendid weather and sunshine.

Spanish crowds flocked to the famous Plaza del Castillo in Pamplona last night to get up close and personal with FIA GT1 World Championship cars.

The fortress town of Pamplona in northern Spain is about 50 miles from the Navarra circuit, the scene of the third round of the FIA GT1 World Championship this weekend.

The third round of the FIA GT1 World Championship will take place in Los Arcos (Navarra) in the north of Spain next weekend (26/27 May). The Reiter Engineering team only scored a total of 18 World Championship points in the first two races in Nogaro (FRA) and Zolder (BEL).

Blancpain auctions off Amateur champion's car

Blancpain, official series partner of the ADAC GT Masters, will be involved in a special auction for charity this weekend.

The winning car of the 2011 ADAC GT Masters Amateur class, the Lamborghini Gallardo LP600+ from Reiter Engineering, is to be auctioned off in Monaco for the benefit of a charity.

The Lamborghini Gallardo LP600+ (Chassis number 09825) driven by Marc A. Hayek alongside the 2010 ADAC GT Masters champion Peter Kox, which won the 2011 Amateur class, will be part of the auction at the RM Auctions auction house in Monaco on 12th May. Hayek enjoyed six wins in the Amateur standing in the Gallardo during the 2011 season, and made a total of nine visits to the Amateur podium.

Poor Result for InterNetX-Reiter Engineering in Zandvoort

The ADAC GT Masters with almost 40 cars competing in the series is making its debut at the Circuit Zandvoort in the Netherlands. The 4.307 km (2.676 miles) long and technically demanding track is surrounded by the North Seas dunes.

The InterNetX-Reiter Engineering team competes with two Lamborghini Gallardo LP600+ in the ADAC GT Masters. Competing in the amateur class, Swiss driver Marc A. Hayek (CHE) intends to defend his 2011 championship title. His partner, Peter Kox from the Netherlands, supports him in his efforts. Albert von Thurn und Taxis (DEU) and Stefan Rosina (SLK) share the second Gallardo.
