Reiter Engineering develops a far-reaching evolution of the proven GT3 car as Lamborghini’s official Gallardo GT3 partner and plans to enter the new racecar in the Blancpain GT Series, the US Pirelli World Challenge and the SRO GT Sports Club.

The name reflects the aim: the Reiter Gallardo FL2 GT3 receives a far-reaching and comprehensive facelift, ‘Extenso’, just like the Spaniards would say. The innovations do not only include looks and sound, but also handling and engine:

The rear of the Reiter Gallardo EXTENSO is significantly wider. The rear aluminium side panels are replaced by new carbon fibre rear quarter panels. At the same time, the rear axle track width is increased by a whopping 13 cm using new wishbones. As a result, the maximum...

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE NEW PROJECT WITH KTM

reiter ktm 1

The press release from KTM and Reiter Engineering published at the beginning of the week has obviously aroused interest and raised several questions. Many media representatives and customers have approached our partner and us with these questions. We would like to use this opportunity to answer the most frequently asked questions:

Will it be a GT3, GT4 or even a GTE racecar?

I can’t give you any concrete data today, but I’m happy to give comparable information.

The fundamental difference was clearly visible in the press release: the car has a closed cockpit and the outer skin of a super sportscar. The car will be similar in form to a Lamborghini Countach, which means a very flat and wide car. The design is, however, typical KTM: angular, chiselled, aggressive, and simply cool.

It’s certain that the new GT car will set new benchmarks on its class regarding safety and technology. It will possess all the traits of a state-of-the-art GT3 racecar and fulfills all the safety standards of an LMP car. As you see, we have combined...

The construction of the vehicle and all of the logistics, including sales and supply of spare parts will be in the hands of Reiter Engineering.

The joint motor racing project represents a continuation of the successful partnership between Reiter Engineering and KTM Sportcar that dates back to 2008 when the cooperation resulted in overall victory in the “GT4 Sports Light European Championship”. At that time German driver Christopher Haase won the European GT4 Championship title driving a KTM X-BOW GT4, fighting against tough international competition.

Hans Reiter, responsible in recent years for the highly successful deployment of the Lamborghini...

They crossed the finish line in their Interlloy branded Lamborghini Gallardo FL2 GT3 third. With their 7th place, Ross Lilley and Paul Kelly at the wheel of the Koala Furniture Gallardo FL2 GT3 clinched the second top 10 position for the Gallardo racing teams.

Season finale in New Zealand for the Gallardo teams from Down Under

New-JJA-Consulting-Lamborghini-GallardoJustin McMillan and Steven Richards finished the season of the Australian GT Series with a 6th place in the second race. After their third position in the qualifying the Interlloy Duo aimed for a podium finish in the races. Unfortunately, they missed the time slot for the mandatory pit stop and driver change. They had to come into the pit once again and were classified on position 23 in the end.

The catch up race was off in the second and final run of the continental championship. By racing fast lap times with their Lamborghini Gallardo made by Reiter Engineering, McMillan/Richards raced into the top 10 and were only interrupted by the safety car phase at the end of the race. In the overall classement of the Australian GT 2014 Justin McMillan is ranked 4th, whereas Steven Richards is listed 7th as he could not compete in every race. Ross Lilley driving the Koala Furniture Gallardo achieved...

ALMOST POLE FOR KOX RACING GALLARDO
Monday, 03 November 2014 01:00
